A man died Saturday after he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a water truck near the Paul First Nation west of Edmonton.
Police said the victim, who lived in Stony Plain, made no attempt to stop before he hit the truck, which was waiting to turn left off Range Road 35.
"The only skid marks we've got are from the motorcyclist behind him," said RCMP Const. Chad Cranny.
The driver of the second motorcycle stopped before reaching the truck, but was seriously injured while trying to pull his friend from the fiery wreckage. He remained in hospital Sunday.
