Recall of KTM 1290 Super Duke GT Models

Written by Sandra Almqvist

ktmKTM recalls 1290 SUPER DUKE GT models of model year 2016 and 2017 to the workshops of authorized KTM dealers in order to replace the fuel hose.

Internal KTM quality checks have established that leaks of the fuel hose may occur due to sporadic production deviations. In the worst case, this could cause damage due to escaping fuel or potential for fire if there is a suitable ignition source.

Because of these potential leakages the fuel hoses in the associated motorcycles have to be replaced.

Customers of affected and already distributed motorcycles are informed by a personal letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized KTM dealer to arrange an appointment. In addition, customers can check online in the “Service” area on the KTM website if their motorcycle is affected by the recall.

The replacement of the fuel hose can be carried out by authorized KTM dealers only. This check is a guarantees that is completely free of charge.
