“As of 10:35 a.m. Pacific time today, we have $127,768 pledged,” Huffman said.

“Even if we didn’t raise all the money, I’d do the film anyway for John and (son) Jack. It’s now a passion project.

“This is a great story about a great American man and (his) family that everyone will enjoy,” Huffman said.

Don Hatton's motorcycle expertise is already renowned, and a series of TV clips filmed in October will bring him - and the Cowichan Valley - to an even larger audience.

The Duncan-based adventure rider was sought out by Motorcycle Experience, which airs on TSN, for advice about off-road racing. In the segments, Hatton teaches Yamaha Canada's Matt Fletcher how to ride off-road, using some of the Valley's best terrain. READ ON
