Ride for Dad takes place Sunday

Ride for Dad For Bill Sirman, fundraising for prostate cancer research and awareness goes hand in hand with the rev of a motorcycle. Make that hundreds of motorcycles. On Sunday, the Telus Motorcycle Ride for Dad will again roll into Kelowna for a full day of riding and raising money for prostate cancer research. The fun-filled event will include a lunch, poker run, and prizes.

Hells AngelsCBC News has learned that a party planned for this weekend in Musquodoboit Harbour marks the return of the Hells Angels to Nova Scotia. The party has been discreetly advertised with a poster that has appeared on closed Facebook pages and other sites.

Motorcycle rally draws about 200 bikes to city

Mark Hutchinson, general manager of the Fireside Classic Grill and organizer of the event, was thrilled with how the fifth annual Elliot Lake Motorcycle Rally (ELMR) unfolded.

Now it’s 40 plus,” said John Moman, a member of the Kinsmen Club of Brandon putting on the CF Ride for the Breath of Life event.

As an aside, it is one of the longest constituency names in Canada. (In the number of syllables it is tied for first with West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Seat to Sky Country.)
