Ride Safe programAccording to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, on average, there's about 2,300 crashes each year in Wisconsin that involve motorcyclists and result in some type of injury. The Ride Safe course includes eight hours of classroom style instruction that students complete at home before attending their first classroom session with a group, which then prepares them for hands-on riding exercises in a controlled, off-street environment.

arrests in Palm SpringsPolice arrested several members of the Mongols Motorcycle Club during the group's annual visit to Palm Springs this weekend. Palm Springs police made "several warrant arrests and issued a few dozen citations," although the motorcycle club's visit concluded "without any major incidents," Lt. Mike Kovaleff said.

G310R motorcycle production in IndiaAccording to reports, BMW Motorrad has initiated its entry in the Indian market, with the production of the G310R motorcycle started at the TVS Group's plant in Hosur, Karnataka. Showcased at the EICMA 2015, the BMW G310R is jointly developed by TVS and BMW Motorrad.

£10,000 for armed services charityThe money was raised during the 8th annual Armed Forces Day, held in Bents Park, South Shields last month, which was attended by more than 7,000 people. Around 300 riders on bikes, trikes & scooters rode from Hells Angels club house in Sunderland along the seafront to Bents Park for the start of the event.

Timmins Alzheimer`s Society Most motorcycle riders don't need an excuse to jump on their bikes and hit the road, but riding for a good cause just makes it that much more enjoyable. That was the case for the more than two-dozen bikers who took part in the third-annual Alzheimer's Ride for Memories in Timmins on Saturday afternoon.

Motorcycle fatality rateCalgary has seen more fatal motorcycle crashes so far this year than all of last year. Four people were killed in the first six months of 2016, according to Calgary police. That's up from three in all of 2015.
