Motorcycle WeekThe opening weekend of the 93rd Laconia Motorcycle Week is in the books, and while the weather was up and down, Executive Director Charlie St. Clair said events went off without a hitch, and he saw plenty of happy bikers. “The weather wasn’t a big help yesterday, but that’s the way it is,” St. Clair said on Sunday evening.

Ride for the SPCAIt was just before noon on Sunday, and motorcycles of every make, model and color filled the lot across from the SPCA of Luzerne County as more than 450 riders socialized with one other and visited with the shelter’s animals as they waited for their 12:30 p.m. ride time to hit.

Americade revs The rumble of motorcycle engines faded on Sunday as the 34th annual Americade bike rally in Lake George officially ended on Saturday night. The rally has long been a major source of income for local businesses in Lake George, according to Mayor Robert Blais.
