In San Juan, La Placita de Santurce transforms from a daytime market into a full outdoor dancefloor on Thursday and Friday nights. Puerto Ricans love to dance, and salsa here isn’t a performance — it’s a way of life. Live Bomba performances on Monday nights add another layer to Puerto Rico’s extraordinary musical culture.
Oistins Fish Fry — Barbados
On Friday nights in the port town of Oistins, Barbadians and visitors converge for one of the Caribbean’s most authentic local experiences: piping hot fried mahi-mahi and grilled flying fish, cooked fresh in front of you.
