About CMTA Travel Services

The Canadian Motorcycle Tourism Association (CMTA) is a community-first, Alberta-based social enterprise that strengthens motorcycle tourism in Canada while ensuring rural businesses, events, and the charitable causes behind them benefit from that tourism.

We promote destinations, amplify events, spotlight rider-friendly businesses, and tell the stories that inspire people to ride here in the first place. Our work is led by Belt Drive Betty — Certified Travel Agent and CMTA Executive Director Renee Charbonneau.

What We Deliver — and Who It Serves

CMTA serves the entire motorcycle tourism ecosystem: riders looking for authentic, ride-worthy places and experiences; small and rural businesses that rely on seasonal traffic; community groups and charities that need visibility but lack marketing budgets; and destinations seeking respectful, values-aligned tourism growth. Browse our Canadian Motorcycle Directory to find verified operators, shipping services, and rental companies across the country.

Free Community Marketing Supporting 900+ Charitable Causes

Free community support drives a major part of our mission. Through canadianmotorcycleevents.com, we promote more than 900 charitable causes every year by sharing events, fundraisers, and community initiatives with riders across Canada.

We also publish and share community stories through our websites, newsletters, and social channels because communities grow when people see and support good work. Subscribe to our Travel Talk Newsletter to stay connected with the latest stories and travel deals.

Our Reach Is Organic — and It’s Measurable

Our reach is measurable, earned, and growing.

Across our aggregated social media channels, we generate approximately 65,000 organic views every month, including 10,000 through Belt Drive Betty, 29,000 through Canadian Motorcycle Events, and the remainder through CMTA’s social platforms.

Those views come from genuine audience engagement—not paid advertising or boosted posts. That visibility helps community groups, events, and small businesses reach audiences they could not otherwise afford to reach.

Member Support: Free Training for Businesses and Staff

CMTA members receive free training for their businesses and staff through growbizskills.ca.

We help operators strengthen customer service, marketing, systems, and day-to-day operations without requiring large budgets or corporate resources.

CMTA Travel Services: Travel Planning That Funds the Mission

Rooted in Real Places and Real Projects

CMTA works directly in communities through tourism development, military heritage initiatives, destination promotion, and community-building projects in places such as Blueberry Mountain, Thorsby, Two Hills, and beyond. Follow our Travel Talk blog for destination stories and updates from the field.

Bottom Line

CMTA keeps Canadian motorcycle tourism visible, connected, and growing—one story, one business, one event, and one ride at a time.
